LAMEST WAY TO HIT ON A CHIC

Yesterday one of our admins was well caught up in a situation most of us would dread.
She was threatened with legal action.

 uhm reason? One may ask, posting an Avril pic on her face book page and not giving a shout out to the page or photographer.

Lame, huh?

So she just uploaded the pic? Did she lie it was her? Well she just captioned the pic. She
didn’t say it was her, well unless her nickname is 'mapose.com' .

So did she crop the pic in anyway so as to alter it? Actually NO  she didn’t. The logo of the so called photography agency was very clear. And come on who amongst us has never shared downloaded pics on their social network accounts????????

 So really then why threaten to sue her? Beats me, as if threatening the admin was not enough, he the photographer in question shamelessly asked her out on a coffee date.

So what you are trying to say is, some prick out there threatens to sue women under his company name so as to later ask them out? Yes .

Is that professional???????????

 Be the judge.

Below is the convo he <the so called photographer> and our admin (though some names are hypothetical) had:

    “  HIM> Mikey Likulu; You are allowed to share Avril's pic..but not crop it and make it yours.
            Its protected under a contract so be carefull

 How did the pic end up on ur profile?? Because u downloaded it and posted on your wall. So that makes it yours, illegally.So I am using kind words, take Allure's photos on your profile down, Kindly.EnougH

ADMIN> ; So?? The pics are all over twitter, go there thats where i got them from not your shady Ass Page. And am not removing them. Everyone knows its Avril, i didnt say its me. Go take people pics ontop of KICC and stop inboxing me garbage. Nkt.

            I am the Director of Photography. Meaning, I come up with the concept, location and direct the shoots.

            Ben Kiruthi is the photographer, not me..

            Adding to that, I am Allure's CEO.. I own the company.

            So if u decide to take me and my company on,do it at your own risk miss.

      1. The name 'ALLURE' is a copywright to the New York magazine and Modelling agency in Italy and Chicago. . .don't give her crap about sueing nsh!t.

      2. I don't see anywhere on http://www.facebook.com/Alluremodels/info that says you have Copyrights to the photos on the page. That means anyone can download them
      3. she  didn't at any point say the photos are of herself or that she was the photographer. This is free publicity to you if you ask me.

 ADMIN > :  Hi Mike, I'm SIMON . You have the strangest method of picking chics. Images on the internet have a fair usage policy and you can't sue her because she's not using the image for profit or personal gain. otherwise Beyonce would have sued the million women using her as a profile picture

      1. We are a registered company named 'ALLURE MODELLING AGENCY' under the state law office of the Attorney General of the Republic of Kenya.(check on www.attorneygeneralschambers.go.ke to confirm) and we have the certificate of registration 4rom the government of kenya to prove it.

      
      2. A contract is signed between us and the models and the photographer for protection of our work against people croping and resizing our images, and it was clearly mentioned in our page the restrictions partitioned against fraudsters who are out there to sabotage our company's reputation. I saw the pic on Rose's wall and kindly requested her to take down the photos. But she proceeded to use insulting language(read her message thread).

      
      Since this whole issue has crossed the bar as you say, I study International Business in USIU,not law. So its fair if I forward you as a lawyer to our company's lawyer and settle this lawfully.

ADMIN > : In fact I didn't crop the image, the picture still has the original watermark so the attribution still belongs to your crappy-shit-agency-that-tries-to-sue-young-women- “
